The Plan of Salvation

Do you know Christ as your personal Saviour? Have you accepted His free gift of salvation? Here’s the simple of salvation.

  1. Realize that you are a sinner.
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.”  Romans 3:10
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
     Romans 3:23
All of us have broken God’s law one time or another and because of it we are all sinners.
Do you realize you are a sinner?
  2. There is a price for sin.
The price of sin is death. Death means separation.
    There is a physical death.
“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” -Romans 5:12
    There is a spiritual death.
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” -Romans 6:23
This means if you died and received the wages of your sin, you would have to spend eternity separated from God in hell.  Do you realize that if you died right now and received the wages for your sin, you would have to spend eternity separated from God in Hell, according to the Bible?
  3. Know that Jesus paid the price for your sin.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” -Romans 5:8
God loves you very much, and He doesn’t want you to go to hell. In fact, He sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross to bear your sins upon His body. He died, was buried, and rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. Do you realize that Jesus paid the price for your sins on the cross according to the Bible?
  4. Heaven is a gift God wants to give you.
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” -Romans 6:23
When Jesus died upon the cross, He bought with His blood the gift of eternal life for you. If heaven could be earned by our good works, Jesus would have wasted His time dying on the cross. Do you realize that Heaven is a free gift and not something we can work for, according to the Bible?
  5. You must personally receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour.
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” -Romans 10:13
If a person, realizing that they deserve Hell as payment for their sin and that Jesus died for them, were to call upon Him for forgiveness and eternal life, he would save them. To be saved is of course to be saved from eternal death in Hell. Do you realize that if You called upon Jesus and asked for forgiveness and eternal life that He would give it to you according to the Bible?

If you’ve realized these five things, just bow your head right now and sincerely ask Jesus to forgive you and save your soul.
“Dear Jesus, please forgive me of all my sins. Come into my heart and save me. I am now trusting you alone for eternal life. Amen.
